Smurfit Westrock Saxon is proudly sponsoring the Adnams 10k run 2024

 

It’s nearly that time of year again when hundreds of fitness fans - including some of the Smurfit Westrock Saxon team - embark on the annual Adnams 10K run. This year’s run is on Sunday, 24th November, at 11 am, and we’re a proud sponsor of the event.

The Adnams 10K run is one of the most popular races in the Suffolk region and is always a lot of fun.  But, most importantly, it’s all in support of local charities. That is something our team is passionate about, so we jumped at the chance to be a sponsor. This is our 4th year sponsoring the race, and we’re as excited as ever.

Helping runners cross the finish line

The Adnams 10K attracts runners from the local Southwold area and beyond, including fitness enthusiasts keen to navigate the circular route. In two and a half laps, runners will start at The Harbour Inn, taking in The Common, before heading along the Queen’s Road to the finish line on South Green. The race finishes at The Red Lion pub, where runners can pat themselves on the back with a rewarding and refreshing pint. Everyone who finishes can look forward to a race bag containing a medal, a bottle of Adnams beer (if you’re over 18, of course) and a host of other goodies.

As part of our ongoing partnership with the Southwold Brewery, we’ll be supporting the race by providing branded paper bags and promotional water bottles. For nearly 25 years, we’ve collaborated with Adnams to create innovative packaging solutions, and we’re always keen to support their community initiatives, especially this annual run, which has become a staple event in the area.

Supporting the local community

This highly anticipated race raises money to support the Adnams Community Trust, a local charity that has been making a difference for over 30 years. The trust provides grants to local groups and initiatives within a 25-mile radius of Southwold and national charities that benefit local residents.

For us, sponsoring the Adnams 10K run is more than a commitment to a longstanding client; Adnams is part of our community, and supporting the race allows us to help the people and causes that make this region special.
