BeerX 2022 Came Back With A Bang

The Saxon Packaging team once again attended SIBA’s BeerX event in March 2022 and as always, we loved every second. We thoroughly enjoyed catching up with lots of friendly faces (some of whom we haven’t seen since 2019), as well as meeting some lovely new SIBA members during the event. If the goal was to reunite brewers and beer lovers alike, this year’s event was a resounding success.

After such a wonderful two days at BeerX 2022, we are reminded of how great it is to be a part of the SIBA community. Throughout the event, Mike Impson (Sales Director), Stu Haggar (Business Development Manager) & Adam Futter (Business Development Manager) were working hard to find the best ways to support visitors to our stand with packaging for beer-related products and, of course, offering the chance to enjoy a taster or two of the breweries’ beers.

We have been silver members of SIBA for seven years and have a real passion for getting involved in SIBA’s events and helping members grow their businesses through our innovative beer packaging solutions. Saxon Packaging has been involved in the BeerX event for several years, and it was great to be back meeting members in person following last year’s virtual event. In 2021, we were very proud to be chosen as the official beer box partner for BeerX, having produced bespoke beer packaging for the tasting packs needed for the online tasting sessions.

THE SIBA BEER AWARDS 2022

Taking place every year at the BeerX event, the SIBA Beer Awards is a great achievement to even be nominated for, let alone win. We always enjoy the awards as they are a true celebration of what SIBA is all about – celebrating the members that make up this great community.

This year, we were proud to have supported the SIBA Beer Awards by sponsoring the following award categories:

• Bottle/Can Premium Lager & Pilsner (4.5% to 6.4%)
• Best Commercial Achievement
• Best Marketing Implementation

There were many deserving companies who were nominated for the awards this year, and we want to take the opportunity to congratulate everyone nominated and to our winners:

Congratulations to Duration Brewing for winning the Bottle/Can Premium Lager & Pilsner (4.5% to 6.4%) as well as Brew York for winning the Best Commercial Achievement award. A huge well done also to Siren Craft Brew for winning the Best Marketing Implementation award.

These were all well-deserved wins by SIBA members who have worked hard to obtain this great achievement. Our whole team at Saxon Packaging is proud to have been sponsors for the award categories.

This year, we were also nominated for the Supplier Associate Of The Year category in the prestigious SIBA Beer Awards.

Unfortunately, we didn’t win the ‘Supplier Associate of the Year’ award this year but nevertheless, we are very proud to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the category.

Congratulations to Charles Faram, on winning the award.

Saxon Packaging took home the title in 2016 and we’ll be working hard to make sure we have every chance of winning next year’s award.
