Celebrating the cream of the hops crop at this year’s BeerX 2023

The Saxon Team is delighted to have once again attended SIBA’s BeerX event in March 2023. It was a fantastic opportunity to catch up with our friends and colleagues within the bustling brewing and beer industry!

Saxon Packaging has been taking part in BeerX for several years. In 2021, we were very proud to be chosen as the official beer box partner for BeerX, having produced bespoke beer packaging for the packs required for the online tasting sessions.

 

Taking place every year at BeerX, is the highly anticipated SIBA Business & Brewing Awards representing the very best from the UK’s independent brewers.

Saxon Packaging has been a silver member of SIBA for several years and we have a real passion for getting involved in SIBA’s events. It’s a really great opportunity to keep our fingers on the pulse of this exciting market, whilst helping members grow their businesses through our sustainable beer packaging solutions.

We always enjoy the awards as they are a true celebration of what SIBA is all about – celebrating and uplifting the members that make up this rewarding, supportive, and extraordinarily community.

This year, we were thrilled to have supported the SIBA Business & Brewing Awards by sponsoring the following award categories

• Best Bottle/ Can Bitter
• Best Commercial Achievement
• UK’s Best Independent Craft Brewery Webshop

Every year the bar (no pun intended!) gets raised in terms of quality, innovation, and originality – and this year was no different! We want to take the opportunity to congratulate everyone nominated and to our deserving winners:

Congratulations to Long Man Brewery for winning the Best Bottle/ Can Bitter category with their delectable Old Man ABV: 4.3. Also, congratulations to Hobsons Brewery on taking home the Best Commercial Achievement award.

A special mention to Wild Card having scooped a whopping 3 awards including UK’s Best Independent Craft Brewery Webshop, Best Concept Design & the highly prestigious Brewery Business of the Year award.

 

These were all well-deserved wins by SIBA members who have really worked hard to rise to the top in this fiercely competitive field. Our entire team at Saxon Packaging are proud to have been sponsors for the BeerX 2023 SIBA Business & Brewing Awards.

This year, we were also nominated for the Supplier Associate of The Year category. Although we didn’t clinch the title this year, we are extremely chuffed to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the category. Let’s raise our glasses to this year’s winner, Festival Glass. We took home the title in 2016 and we’ll be working tirelessly to make sure we have every chance of winning next year’s award.

 

Saxon Packaging’s Mike Impson (Sales Director), Stu Haggar (Business Development Manager) and Adam Futter (Business Development Manager) were delighted to represent us at this year’s BeerX, supporting visitors to our stand with cutting-edge and creative packaging solutions. And, of course, BeerX wouldn’t be the incredible experience it is without a tantalising taster or two of these brilliant breweries’ top tipples.
